B.

So i thought i would do a little review on some blushes i picked up while having a little browse around super drug, funnily enough its not a product i actually heard/knew about till i decided to purchase them and their called B.pure cosmetics which launched in super drug.

Initially i decided to get it as it was buy one get one half price. Always looking for deals as its definitely worth it. The overall price is really reasonable for a drug store product and also their packaging is simple but not cheap looking.

I usually do my make up in the morning while little one is having breakfast or taking a nap so thats my only time for myself and i don’t usually do anymore touch ups through the day and so far I’m really pleased with how long lasting and how great the colour pay off is.

I will definitely be having another browse and pick up some more from their collection which you can buy from superdrug.

Have you got any B. make up bits & what are your thoughts?

Origins zero oil

Hi lovelies,

IMG_5759.JPG
Thought I would share a new favourite face wash I have been using for the past couple of weeks.

Which is the Origins zero oil facial cleanser. Funnily enough I didn’t buy this. I was given by my sister which didn’t suit her skin so I snapped it up as I am a big origins fan and let me tell you I couldn’t be happier as it has done wonders for my skin.

It pretty much says it all in the name, it is a zero oil cleanser which gets deep in your pores. *Big thumbs up!!

Ive noticed my skin get incredibly smoother, less blackheads on my nose and less shine. I’m not incredibly oily but i can definitely see a difference.
The smell is very fresh & leaves you feeling nice and clean.
Love the whole origins range and it is very gentle on your skin and ive never had any breakouts/reactions.

This retails for around £18.50 which is fairly reasonable.

What do you think of Origins ? Have you tried this ?

Love to hear from you!

Postpartum rant!

IMG_5653.JPG

Thought i would touch on a few topics that all us mummies go through once having a baby…

Obviously having a baby it puts a ridiculous amount of pressure on your relationship and you forget about life way before your bundle of joy came. You argue about silly things such as who didn’t do this and so on. Its important to have time out from being parents and remembering all the little things. Make an effort to go on a date night every so often, you will both appreciate it and gives mummy a chance to doll herself up and let her hair down. Just because you become parents doesn’t mean everything has to end and you cant do spontaneous things.

Hair loss? Ahuh.. i hear you sister!
Ever since having kiyan my hair has ridiculously gotten thinner and I’m always leaving a trail of hair where ever i go, not to mention little one thinking its funny to pull on mummy’s hair. I find putting it up in a bun really helpful and obviously practical. While i do that i usually put a strengthening mask and let it really soak into my hair. Also not washing my hair too much and just putting dry shampoo in between washes.

That mummy belly?! I’m sure every mum is feeling the same. Its just not the same? Thats how i feel, no matter what i do it always feels jiggly & Blergh! But then i think that jiggly mess was my babys home for 9 months and now i have his cheeky smile to look at every day. I think its perfectly normal to feel insecure about certain things. Our body went through so much and it takes time to go back to how things were. Don’t dwell too much on silly things like oh i need to lose such and such amount of weight . Enjoy every minute of your babies life as it goes too quick, they don’t stay small forever 😦

Please share any of your postpartum worries? I’d love to hear them.

Super scrimping mummy!

Hi lovelies,

So i just wanted to share a few money saving ideas/tips we do in our household that has helped us not break the bank balance.
As you know having a family/children its not cheap and you have endless things you must buy and its a constant battle of not breaking your budge etc.

1. Firstly is plan your meals!!!
We have a magnetic notice board which you can put in the kitchen to write the menu of the week.
Me and my husband one night a week when we have a spare minute decide what sort of meals we fancy during the week & from there we can jot down the things we need for groceries which helps us budget and being organised is the key to not splurging on unnecessary things whilst you are going past the naughty aisle.

2. Make your babies food.
I must admit when i first started to wean kiyan i did reach for the ready made jars as i kept telling myself silly reasons like oh it will save time, kiyan will like it more and so on. let me tell you while i was giving jars he was incredibly fussy with texture as you know the jarred baby food are bland and always are the same consistency so when i gave him more lumpier things he wouldn’t have it. Not to mention it was ridiculously expensive and every week we would have to stock up & would never last.
Since making his food he is open to new foods & loves all different textures, yes it is time consuming but your baby is getting the best and it last so much longer as you can store it in the freezer.

3. Don’t always go for the bigger brands.
The brands that don’t have all the hype are just as good. You don’t have to buy the most expensive nappies etc, Keep a look out for deals and baby events.

4.Buy second hand.
You don’t have to always buy new things, sometimes buying something second hand can be just as good or even better knowing you found yourself a bargain.

5. Use coupons / discount codes.

Hope these have been helpful 🙂

Kiyan turns ONE!

So the time has come that my not so little baby has turned 1. I never thought i would feel so emotional that he would be reaching 1, i think a lot of thoughts are running through my head that he’s gotten so big already & slowly he wont need his mummy :(.
Its crazy how quickly the time has flown by and makes me reminisce.
I can still remember the day we brought him home & i was completely pooping myself of the thought I’m an ‘actual mum’ lol.
For me while i was pregnant i was in my own little world & it didn’t click in my head that after these 9 months i will be a mother who will have to act responsibly and do ‘mummy’ things.
I cant express how much my life how changed for the better and i don’t remember my old life. Before i had Kiyan i felt like i didn’t have any meaning and since becoming his mummy my life has so much purpose & love. He brings us so much joy.

IMG_5466.JPG

Now that he has turned one i cant wait for all the other milestones & lil adventures.

Here are a few things I’m looking forward too,

•Saying mummy & daddy.
•Walking.
•Saying i love you.
•Running around the park.
•Starting nursery.
•Hopefully having a brother or sister in the future. (In the distant future lol)

And so much more… 🙂

How did you feel that your baby was turning 1? Was you emotional?
